Willem
Oets -
Durban, South Africa
Willem has been a
photographer since he was introduced to photography as
a creative medium at a workshop
presented by Canadian photographer Freeman Patterson in 1991 in
Namaqualand South Africa. He developed as a landscape and abstract
photographer but, thanks to digital photography, he has discovered the magic of photographing
people and now now enjoys creating personal portfolios. Willem
teaches photography, Photoshop and audio-visual production in his
Durban studio monthly. He also runs a fine-art
printing studio, speaks at photographic congresses and
presents photography and visual design
workshops in the Namib desert twice a year: Read more: Photo

"If I
can respond to my subject, I can capture it's essence - this
applies equally to a landscape, an abstract or a person."
